Yes, lunch is included with most of our full-day adventure packages. We offer a delicious, freshly prepared meal to keep you energized during your rafting or ziplining experience. Vegetarian and dietary options are available—just let us know in advance. For half-day trips, snacks and drinks are usually provided instead of a full lunch.
For safety reasons, children under a certain age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during activities. While older teens may be allowed to join some adventures independently with a signed waiver, our staff always evaluates readiness based on age, size, and comfort level. We prioritize safety above all and ensure every child feels confident and supported. Please contact us in advance to discuss specific age requirements for each activity.
Rafting Trips
Yes, you can still go rafting even if you can’t swim! All participants are provided with certified life jackets, and our professional guides are trained in water safety and rescue techniques. We choose routes suitable for all skill levels and give a full safety briefing before every trip. Your comfort and security are our top priorities—just let us know your concerns, and we’ll make sure you feel confident on the water.
The best time to go rafting near Asheville is typically from late spring through early fall, with peak season running from May through September when river flows are ideal and the weather is warm. Early summer (May–June) offers higher, faster water for thrill-seekers, while July and August bring calmer flows—perfect for families and first-timers. Each season has its own charm, so the “best time” depends on the kind of adventure you’re after. Our team is happy to help you choose the perfect time based on your skill level and preferences.
No prior experience is needed to go rafting! We offer trips designed for all skill levels, including beginners. Our expert guides provide a full safety briefing and paddling instructions before every trip, so you’ll feel prepared and confident on the water. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, we make sure the experience is safe, fun, and unforgettable.
Yes, the river water can be cold—especially in early summer, as it comes from snowmelt in the mountains. However, it’s all part of the refreshing adventure experience! We provide wetsuits and splash gear when needed to keep you comfortable throughout the trip. Most guests say the thrill and fun quickly make them forget about the temperature.
Yes, rafting trips usually continue in the rain! A little rain doesn’t stop the adventure—in fact, it often adds to the fun. Our guides are trained to operate safely in various weather conditions, and we provide the proper gear to keep you as dry and comfortable as possible. However, in the case of severe weather like thunderstorms or lightning, trips may be delayed or rescheduled for your safety.
Ziplining Trips
Yes, ziplining is very safe when done with trained professionals and proper equipment—and safety is our top priority. All our zipline courses are regularly inspected and maintained to meet strict safety standards. Our guides are fully trained in zipline operations and safety procedures, and you'll receive a full briefing before the activity begins. With the right gear and guidance, you can relax and enjoy the ride with confidence.
Our ziplining season typically runs from late spring through early fall, usually from May to October, depending on weather conditions. This period offers the best combination of pleasant weather and safe course conditions. We recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends and holidays, as spots can fill up quickly. If you have a specific date in mind, just reach out and we’ll help you find the perfect time for your adventure!
To participate in ziplining, guests must meet certain safety and physical requirements. Typically, participants should be between 7 and 65 years old, weigh between 50 and 250 pounds (23 to 113 kg), and be in good general health. Pregnant women and individuals with certain medical conditions are advised not to participate. Closed-toe shoes are required, and long hair should be tied back for safety. Our team will provide a full safety briefing and gear to ensure everyone enjoys a safe adventure.
We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows for easy movement. Closed-toe shoes like sneakers or hiking boots are a must for safety. Avoid loose clothing, scarves, or jewelry that could get caught in the equipment. If it’s sunny, bring sunscreen and sunglasses, and if it’s cooler, layering is a good idea. Our guides will provide all necessary safety gear to keep you protected throughout your adventure.
Fly Fishing
For your fly fishing trip, we recommend bringing comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the weather, sturdy waterproof boots or waders, and a hat for sun protection. Don’t forget sunscreen, insect repellent, and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. If you have your own fishing gear, feel free to bring it, but we also provide all necessary equipment for beginners and experienced anglers alike. Lastly, a camera is great to capture those memorable moments!
